Actor and Grammy-nominated comedian Nate Bargatze will star in DoorDash’s Super Bowl ad, the company confirmed today. It will promote the delivery service firm’s membership program DashPass and the savings that members can accrue with the pass.
The Super Bowl and teaser spots were jointly created by Wieden &Kennedy Portland and the client’s in-house creative studio Suprette.

The spot will air in the third quarter of the game, which will take place on February 9 in New Orleans.
The teaser is now out and was inspired by what the agency describes as the “cultural phenomenon of girl math” and depicts Bargatze’s inner dialog as he calculates savings from DashPass.
The campaign introduces a new creative platform for DashPass titled “Give Yourself A Pass,” and leverages Bargatze’s comedic wit to remind viewers of the potential savings the pass offers.
The campaign also includes a post-game promotion that will be in effect Monday, February 10 for the city whose team comes up short in the Big Game (ie., either Philadelphia or Kansas City). For that day only DashPass members in the runner-up city will get 50% off one order (up to $15).
