Mercedes-Benz USA has enlisted NFL legend Drew Brees to create a social campaign highlighting the vibrancy of New Orleans.
The campaign captures the unique rhythm of the city where Brees has deeply rooted himself, bridging the heart of the game with the vibrant pulse of the city.
Brees is a longtime Mercedes-Benz partner and ambassador, says Melody Lee, CMO, Mercedes-Benz USA.
“He is widely regarded as one of the best NFL quarterbacks of all time, but it is his deep love for and commitment to New Orleans that is the reason for our working with him for this G580 social campaign,” Lee tells Marketing Daily. “We wanted to take a bit of a different approach with the campaign, which is more of a love letter to the city of New Orleans with one of their most beloved sports heroes.”

In the videos, Brees can be seen driving the all-new G 580 with EQ Technology, where he reflects on his days of driving to the Superdome while showcasing the unmatched comfort and confidence he feels in the G-Wagon.
The effort includes a teaser video and the hero video. Brees is also featured driving in a G 580 video which went live on Super Bowl Sunday.
The social campaign was developed and produced by SixTwentySix.
The campaign is voiced by actor Jon Hamm who has been a voice-over actor for Mercedes-Benz since 2010. It is being shared across Mercedes-Benz USA social platforms.
