The work illustrates how orbiting satellites impact many aspects of life — from entertainment to communication to national security. The responsibility of protecting the freedom of space rests with the United States Space Force, a military branch created in 2019.

Targeting kids 12-18, the campaign hopes to ignite interest and wonder in specific careers.

The cross-channel campaign will span film, VR, digital, paid and organic social with social influencers, as well as experiential activations and events.

“Space is the next chapter — and the Space Force is the first and only organization created to protect the future of space and Earth,” Kate Gunning, strategy director at GSD&M, told Agency Daily. “So we created a first-of-its-kind, immersive experience to demonstrate how Space Force is the next great launchpad for careers in aerospace, AI, cybersecurity and more. It brings the beauty, power and possibilities of space to young people to get them excited about the role they can play in shaping our future here on Earth and beyond.”
