Autodesk has gotten a divine
endorsement, in the guise of actor Tony Hale, in its latest campaign: "Let There Be Anything."
The creative, by agency of record Giant Spoon, posits the brand's tech offerings, utilized by designers, engineers and creators, as the next best thing to heaven-sent.
The spot, which debuted at the NBA Playoff broadcast May 9, is running on broadcast through the U.S.
In it, Hale, as God, is deeply impressed with what Autodesk customers have made — from NYC doubledecker buses to headphones, SoulCycle bikes to blockbuster movies. The ad touts human ingenuity in a playful way by getting a cosmic thumb's-up for stellar inventions.
Jonathan Haber, one of Giant Spoon's co-founders, told Agency Daily: “We wanted to find the most profound way to celebrate the best of humanity’s creations. Almost everything in our world can be designed and made on Autodesk. We wanted to take a view from above as a metaphor for how proud and excited we are to see what we have built and what we will build next.”

Giant Spoon's client work includes Netflix, GE and Yeti.
Dara Treseder, CMO of Autodesk, called the work “a tribute to the brilliance of our customers. It marks the next chapter of our brand and reinforces our commitment to helping people design and make anything.”
