JetBlue has unveiled a Dunkin’-branded airplane and a promotion to celebrate the companies' two decades of partnership.
“Loyal Dunkin' fans or frequent JetBlue fliers may recall almost 20 years ago when Dunkin’s Original Blend joined the in-flight menu offerings and a short while later, became its exclusive onboard coffee provider in 2011,” according to Parade. “Now, Dunkin' is getting its own JetBlue aircraft. Yep, you read that right. In honor of the longstanding business venture, an Airbus A320 aircraft has been freshly painted to adorn Dunkin's signature orange and pink branding that's ‘brought to life with a playful donut and coffee motif.’”

Dunkin' teased the news in a May 11 social media post, which showed a blurred-out image of a plane.
“JetBlue names all of its aircraft (often with puns), and this one has the name ‘Brewing Altitude,’” according to One Mile At A Time. “This plane will no doubt turn heads at airports, and for that matter, it’s quite a contrast to JetBlue’s standard livery.”
JetBlue and Dunkin’ are offering rewards for customers who fly on Brewing Altitude on Mondays beginning May 19 through Sept. 1. TrueBlue members who fly on eligible routes on the aircraft will receive Mosaic 1 status and Dunkin’ Rewards members will earn Boosted status for three months.
“(The) plane made its first voyage from Boston to Fort Myers and it brightened what was an otherwise gray, gloomy and overcast day at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW),” according to the Fort Myers News-Press. “It landed at RSW around 3 p.m. from Boston and was scheduled to return to Massachusetts at 5 p.m. The aircraft’s new look was revealed at a celebratory event in Boston where both brands have deep roots and a loyal following. Fort Myers is the home of JetBlue Park, where the Boston Red Sox train and play spring training games.”
The JetBlue and Dunkin’ partnership started in 2006 when JetBlue began fueling its customers with Dunkin’s Original Blend coffee at 35,000 feet. In 2011, Dunkin’ became the airline’s exclusive onboard coffee provider.
“JetBlue said on its website that its special liveries are a ‘giant, 86-ton salute to the people, places and partnerships that make up JetBlue’s DNA,’” according to Fox Business. “Some other special liveries that the carrier has unveiled in the past include those for the Boston Bruins hockey team, the FDNY Foundation, veterans and the airline’s crew members.”
