Stella Artois, the premium European-style lager, has tapped tennis great and entrepreneur Maria Sharapova as its newest global brand ambassador. She is also fronting a new ad campaign, titled “Perfect Serve,” that was created with Gut Miami.
The initial spot in the effort highlights the parallels between the art of delivering the perfect tennis serve and the ritual behind serving Stella Artois in its signature chalice.

The new campaign launches ahead of the upcoming summer tennis tournament season, where the beer brand has a major presence.
“Maria Sharapova embodies precision, excellence, and performance—values that are at the core of everything we do at Stella Artois,” stated Tim Ovadia, Global Vice President Stella Artois. “Her pursuit of mastery in both tennis and business mirror our dedication to achieving the 'Perfect Serve.'
Sharapova’s business pursuits (beyond tennis) include a candy brand called Sugarpova formed in 2012 and investments in companies including Tonal, a “smart” home gym marketer and Therabody, a wellness technology company that markets a range of products including massage guns and skincare devices.
