Wahl Professional, a 106-year-old
brand used by barbers and groomers, is saluting the pros in the marketing platform “Make It With Wahl.”
The creative, by Chop & Hue, is running on organic and paid channels through fall. The barbers’ real stories can be followed at #makeitwithwahl on Wahl Professional’s Instagram, @wahlpro, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and here.
Wahl produced the first practical electric hair clipper in 1919 and the business includes the fully-accredited Wahl Barber Academy.
First introduced in 2024, the “Make it With Wahl” campaign marked the beginning of a brand evolution. The latest iteration honors the past and spotlights the next generation, who finds new ways to connect with customers.

“This project isn’t about manufactured inspiration or perfectly packaged success. It’s about real barbers and pros — some just starting out, some building empires. The footage feels lived-in because it is. We leaned into the raw, the imperfect, the honest moments that actually matter,” Dustin Foster, executive creative director, Chop & Hue, told Agency Daily.
The talent featured in this new video series includes Tate Yeho of Mechanicsburg, Pa., a former EMT who switched careers, and Detetrius “Meech” Graham of Detroit, a third-generation barber. Also included are Chris Eliares of San Francisco, who began with solo cuts and just opened his third barber shop, and Allie Bussa of Las Vegas, who turned her chair into an influencer platform.
“Every journey is unique, but all are fueled by the same drive: passion, hustle, craft and community. “Make It with Wahl” is our tribute to those journeys; honoring the real, powerful stories of the people behind the chair. For over a century, Wahl has been a trusted tool along the way. This campaign is our way of celebrating the industry, the culture, and the pros who continue to shape it — one haircut at a time,” added Garrett McGuire, global brand director for Wahl Professional.
Chop & Hue's client work includes Michigan Straight Bourbon Whiskey, Twix and Abbott.
