Warner Bros. Discovery has given names to its forthcoming separation into two companies -- Warner Bros. and Discovery Global -- as well as revealing senior executives.

Warner Bros. will house its studios and streaming businesses, including Warner Bros. Motion Pictures, Warner Bros. Television, DC Studios, Warner Bros. Gaming Studios, HBO and streamer HBO Max. 

It will be headed up by David Zaslav, president and CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, who will have the same position in the new company.

Discovery Global will be the home -- apart from HBO -- for all its global networks, including Discovery Channel, CNN, TNT, TNT Sports, Eurosport, HGTV, Food Network, OWN, Investigation Discovery, TLC and TBS, and others. It will also have streamer Discovery+ and Bleacher Report (B/R).

Gunnar Wiedenfels, currently CFO of Warner Bros. Discovery, will be president/CEO of Discovery Global. 

Among other executives announced, Ryan Gould will be president, U.S. ad sales and Bobby Voltaggio will be president, U.S. ad sales platform monetization. They will both report to Gerhard Zeiler, president U.S., UK & Germany, Discovery+ and chief content officer for Discovery Global.

Earlier this year, WBD veteran executives Gould and Voltaggio were named to the same respective positions at the company. 

The company, which plans to separate in mid-2026, follows the move of similar major TV-movie company Comcast Corp.'s separation of most of its legacy TV networks. Comcast plans to complete its spinoff of its newly named Versant by the end of 2025.
