Two years ago, Danielle Jonas --
perhaps best known as co-star with her musician husband Kevin of the “Married to Jonas" reality series -- came out as an eczema patient via a partnership with Sanofi/Regeneron’s Dupixent
treatment.
While that drug helped Jonas control her symptoms, eczema is a chronic disease, as she noted then in this paid Dupixent social post.
So today, marking the start of Eczema Awareness Month, Jonas is back pitching eczema
relief -- but this time for a laundry detergent.
She’s touting “skin-friendly tips for the whole family” on behalf of Henkel’s All Free Clear, which has been
advertising itself as the “detergent made for sensitive skin” -- such as in this recent commercial starring Dr.Lindsey
Zubritsky, who the brand named its “Chief Dermatology Advisor”
last year.

Jonas’ tips are being featured on All Free Clear’s website and social channels, as well as in media
interviews.
Tip number two cites “laundry care as skin care,”with Jonas noting that“something that people may not realize is that skin care starts in the
laundry room. What we wash touches our skin all day, every day -- from clothes to bed linens -- so choosing the right detergent matters, especially for those with eczema or sensitive skin.”
The other tips are to don “sensible fashion,” relieve stress by listening to music, regulate indoor air temperature, and get quality sleep (“and be sure to wash sheets with All
Free Clear detergent.”
Concurrent with launch of the Jonas campaign, All Free Clear said it is also returning for a second year as a sponsor of Eczema Awareness Month. For its first
go-round last year, the brand teamed with U.S. Gymnastics Olympics medalist Suni Lee, who, in a TikTok post, also noted that “your skin care routine can actually start in the laundry
room.” During the Olympics earlier in 2024, Lee had been featured in an Eli Lilly eczema awareness campaign.
“By partnering with Danielle Jonas and reconnecting with the National
Eczema Association, we hope to be a resource for those with sensitive skin and inspire a mindset shift that a sensitive skin care routine can start in the laundry room with All Free Care laundry
detergent,” Julia Galotto, Henkel’s vice president marketing, said in a statement. “We believe that caring for laundry is also caring for skin, especially for those in the eczema
community.”
All Free Clear, which Henkel declares is “the #1 doctor recommended laundry detergent brand for sensitive skin,” is the current iteration of a brand that was
first launched in 1959 by Unilever and acquired by Henkel in 2016.
