
DEK: Uber Eats is partnering with Best Friends Animal Society on the
“Uber Showcats” pop-up pet adoption event this Friday across New York City, Los Angeles, and Nashville, while both Uber Eats and the company’s Uber Comfort ride-share service are
offering themed promotional discounts nodding to the star’s 12th album, “The Life of a Showgirl.”
Uber launched a campaign celebrating the Oct. 3 release of
Taylor Swift’s new album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” including a nod to the pop star’s love of cats.
Swift’s feline affections are much documented, including
detailed profiles of her three cats, Benjamin Button, Olivia Benson and Meredith Grey.
Uber Eats is partnering with national animal welfare organization Best Friends Animal Society for an Uber
Showcats pop-up pet adoption event this Friday in New York City, Los Angeles, and Nashville. Attendees will have the chance to meet a number of cats up for adoption, and snap pictures in a custom
photobooth. They can also create friendship bracelets or other custom charm jewelry, as well as matching charm collars for feline friends. The event includes a number of other giveaways as well,
including “gems and signature chai cookies.”

The brand is also leaning into the shade Swift chose for her new album and accompanying “era.” Uber Eats is offering a 12%
discount on select orange-colored items on the app (a nod to the release being Swift’s 12th album) this week.
Uber’s ride-share app is also getting in on the celebration with a
themed promo. It’s offering $12 off a ride from Uber Comfort, its service connecting riders with more spacious vehicles than its flagship, with the promo code “Showbiz,” also
beginning Oct. 2. The brand also updated its Instagram page, alluding to the promotional campaign by giving its logo a sparkly orange makeover, and
announcing the brand is “In our orange era.”
