Bombay Sapphire Pays Homage To Signature Hue At Electric Boat Races

Bombay Sapphire’s continued sponsorship of the E1 World Electric Powerboat Series highlights the company’s “Step Into Blue” brand campaign with on-site activations at the final race of 2025.

As the official gin partner of the global E1 World Electric Powerboat Series, the brand is commemorating the competition’s last run of the 2025 season at the Miami GP on Nov. 7-8 with pop-ups and by sponsoring its own award.

The Bombay Sapphire E1 Blue Impact Championship award “recognizes the E1 team who has made the most meaningful strides to protect and regenerate the waters they race on throughout the competition.” Previous Blue Impact initiatives have included Team Westbrook's partnership with Run Blue to tackle the global water crisis, Team Rafas's Protect Posidonia initiative and Team Brady's Race for Change program. The 2025 winner will be announced in December at Bombay’s home distillery in Laverstoke, England.

“E1 represents everything that excites us at Bombay Sapphire — innovation, connection, and a shared passion for nature's natural blues. This partnership allows us to bring our Step Into The Blue campaign to life on a global stage, from Lake Maggiore to London to Miami,” says Natasha Curtin, global vice president, Bombay Sapphire, in a release

On-site activations in Miami all center around the “Step Into The Blue” campaign, which is said to be an “ode to the brand's iconic blue bottle and a celebration of the world's most breathtaking natural blues.” The brand collaborated with Team Miami, which is led by entertainer Marc Anthony, on a special edition of the E1 Racebird with Bombay Sapphire blue branding and matching race suits and helmets.

Additional on-site activations include events at such locations as the Fontainebleau Hotel and Loews Miami Beach, where attendees can pilot their own remote-controlled raceboat through custom pool mini courses. A “multisensory” activation will appear in Terminal D at the Miami International Airport, including an official E1 Racebird, an E1 Racebird simulator and Bombay Sapphire bar serving Sparkling Lemon cocktails, the official cocktail of the E1 World Electric Powerboat Series.
