Electronic Arts's Battlefield
franchise has a new twist: Battlefield REDSEC, a free-to-play offering.
Mother LA brings the Battlefield 6 squads to life in a warfare spot featuring actor Zac Efron, 6x NBA All-Star Jimmy Butler, singer Morgan Wallen, and MMA fighter Paddy Pimblett.
The full
campaign runs on OLV, CTV, linear, and social platforms.
Over its 20-year history, Battlefield has employed the same theme song, a familiar signal to fans to begin play.
Joey Johnson and Shelby Tamura, creative directors at Mother LA, said they wanted “the spot to feel like a tribute to the fans of the Battlefield franchise. Between reimagining
the theme and packing the spot with Easter eggs for longtime players, it truly started to feel like one.”
The new game debuted on Oct. 28 with 32 million views in its first seven
days.
Mother LA's client work includes Meta Lab, Sonic Drive-In and Postmates.
