Via's Hallucinatory Holiday Greetings Campaign

 

Like many agencies will do this year, Portland-based agency VIA is showcasing its creative credentials and AI capabilities with its holiday greetings campaign, the centerpiece of which is a 12-track album on Spotify. 

The effort is full of nostalgic-sounding tunes and music genres tailored to the holidays but done in a clever way that self-promotes while you’re tapping your toes to the beat, at least with some of the songs.

No surprise what the agency wants Santa to bring it this year—a sack full of new biz, naturally. The jazzy song dedicated to that wish takes the opportunity to recap some of this year’s wins as well as the kinds of clients it would like to add, Santa willing, in the coming year. 

It sucks up to clients, in a playful way, in tune called “The Client Nice List.” 

Another starts with a message explaining why no one’s at the office—they're all out “finding the magic.” Leave a message and they’ll get back to you with “the next big idea.”  

The album is called “Find The Magic: A Holiday Hallucination,” and the broader campaign includes original album art, teaser rollout across all VIA social channels, behind-the-scenes content, lyric videos, and a “making-of” carousel detailing the creative process. 

Lyrics, music and vocals are authored and generated by the agency using AI tech including: Suno, ChatGPT, Google Flow, Gemini: Nano Banana, Firefly, and Midjourney.  

The agency says the effort is designed as both holiday salutations and as a “cultural asset that employees, clients, prospects, and the broader industry can engage with.” 

The campaign  has launched across e-mail, social media, and YouTube.
