Slavi Samardzija, who joined Stagwell in September as chief data and
platforms officer, is taking on added duties as chair-media and commerce while retaining his existing remit.
With the added role, Stagwell is unifying leadership of its media and
commerce operations under Samardzija, who will now oversee agencies including Assembly, Gale, Goodstuff, Business Traveler, Crispin, Ink, Kenna, Locaria and
Multiview. Combined, the group accounts for about $600 million in net revenue and 3,500 employees globally.

The move follows a similar reorganization that Stagwell implemented last
month when it promoted Targeted Victory CEO Zac Moffatt to the role of global chair-communications and advocacy.
Samardzija continues to report to Stagwell CEO Mark Penn. "As digital
transformation and intelligent platforms continue to reshape our industry, Slavi is uniquely positioned to lead this next chapter for us,” stated Penn.
Prior to joining Stagwell,
Samardzija was CEO of Omnicom’s Annalect, which oversaw the development of the Omnicom marketing platform Omni and other assets.
"Clients are looking for
partners who can connect data, media, and commerce seamlessly across the entire customer journey,” stated Samardzija. And he’ll be
working to bring “greater alignment” of the assets under his purview to bring that added connectivity to them.
