Consumers and businesses alike face the task
of unifying all their data into one compliant area.
Proton, operator of ProtonMail, a privacy-oriented email server, is offering a new feature to help users achieve that.
The
company’s Lumo 1.3 is providing an encrypted space called Projects where users can bundle chats and files and keep them in sync across all devices and sessions, the company said in a blog post
last week.
The goal is to help firms “spend less time re-explaining and defining, and more time getting meaningful, on-point results,” wrote Eamonn Maguire, who leads
Proton's machine-learning team, in the post.
Maguire adds that this is “part of Lumo’s evolution as a smart AI assistant.”
Projects, which debuted last week,
are available for free to Lumo users, but those logged in on free accounts have a limit of one. For unlimited Projects, clients can upgrade to Lumo Plus.

In addition, business clients
can employ Lumo Professional, a service designed to support effective business strategy and decision-making.
Maguire defines Projects as “a dedicated, encrypted space where you
can bundle chats, files, and requirements for any task and have them remain in sync across every device and session.”
He adds that Lumo can “chip in on larger projects or recurring
subjects, whether you’re working on a big report, ongoing university coursework, or your 2026 planning.
Maguire concludes: “Your private AI assistant should be a natural
extension of your workflows — remembering the nuances of your work and helping you move more quickly from idea to execution,” Maguire continues. “Without collecting any of your data,
it should work with you and not just for you.”
