  • Personalization at Scale or One Great Experience for Everyone: Personalization at scale, but only if it’s built on a rock-solid universal experience. Everyone craves feeling known and appreciated, yet it’s consistency that turns one-off delight into enduring loyalty.

    Build In-House Tech or Best-in-Class Vendors: For mission-critical needs, start with best-in-class vendors and build and grow with them. The goal is to provide the vision, ideas, and necessary functionality and let best in class vendors worry about uptime, coding, and scalability.

  • Speed to Market or Perfect Execution: Contrarian view here: Perfect Execution - consumers not only expect but demand perfection across all touchpoints. One glitch risks tarnishing your brand forever

  • Data Dashboards or Real-Time Store Feedback: Data dashboards for their unflinching truth and cross-store comparability; they’re unbiased, don’t care what I think, and cut through the noise.

  • Mobile-First Journeys or In-Store Moments That Surprise: So much of our brand experience is now happening outside of stores, whether on social media, in search results, or in our app that I am all about the Mobile-First journey while delivering consistent, quality in store experiences.

  • Loyalty as a Growth Engine or Menu Innovation as the Driver: In a vacuum, I'd go with loyalty as the most effective way to shift behaviors and increase recency, frequency, and spend. Without a strong loyalty and data foundation, your hits are accidents, but with it you can systematically create, test, and scale Menu Innovations that resonate.

  • Smoothie or Juice: The Heath Nut smoothie for when I'm working out, and the Toxin Flush juice for when I want something light, refreshing, and packed with vitamins and nutrients.
