Americans Aren't Shocked By Targeted Ads, 88% Expect Them

In what may be the least surprising survey result of 2026, 88% of Americans say they expect to get interest-based ads. Not fear. Not vaguely suspect. Expect. In fact, equal portions say they always expect them at 44% or sometimes expect them at 44%.
