
Pacific Gas and
Electric, one of the largest combined natural gas and electric utilities in the United States, named creative agency Venables Bell + Partners its Agency of Record.
The account was
won after a competitive review.
Since 1905, PG&E has provided natural gas and electricity to more than 16 million people from Eureka to Bakersfield, California, and from the Pacific Ocean
to the Sierra Nevada. The company delivers electricity to more than 4.9 million customers and natural gas to more than 3.9 million.
VB+P will lead the client's brand strategy, creative
development and integrated media, in collaboration with longtime media partner Supply. Initial work, "On the Frontlines for Us All," has launched.
The campaign features real PG&E
employees — from field crews and call-center teams to engineers and weather-station specialists — on the job. The campaign includes two 30-second spots, a series of 15-second ads and a
social media series, "Frontline Reports," running across California.
