Adidas is bringing FIFA tournament looks to
pets.
Launching across North America, Latin America and selected markets in Asia, the new collection allows football fans to kit out their favorite furry companions in matching
federation colors and celebrate their love for the game together.
“The collection marks the first time that Adidas is dropping pet clothing in the United States, as its
Asian-exclusive collections of pet clothing and accessories have gone mega-viral,” according to Sole Retriever. “The first drop took place in May 2025, with a
follow-up collection in October and a Chinese New Year-themed pack a few months ago. Hopefully, Adidas expands its offerings in the U.S. and the rest of the globe, though the World
Cup tie-in is a great start.”

The pet jerseys are inspired by the home kits of Mexico, Colombia, Argentina and Japan.
“The kits for canines (and, we
assume, larger felines) retain the design elements of the home jerseys for each of the selected teams, including the iconic Albiceleste stripes of Argentina and the imprint of the Aztec
sculpture Piedra del Sol on the Mexico shirt,” according to ESPN. “Given that dogs can range
in size from the tiny Chihuahuas of Mexico to the big Newfoundlands of Canada and beyond, it will be interesting to see just how broad that range of sizes goes.”
“Gimmicky? Sure. But for dog owners repping their national teams, these are an easy yes,” according to
Sneaker News. “Adidas has been steadily building out its pet category with accessories and reworked Adidas Originals staples, previously releasing three China-exclusive collections in 2025.
Each one has gone stupid viral, so layering in the world’s biggest sporting event comes as a rather natural, clever continuation.”
Designed specifically for four-legged
supporters, the jerseys feature a heat-transferred federation crest and Adidas logo.
But not every football fan is happy with the collection.
“Scotland fans have
been left disappointed as their canine friends were not included in a clothing brand’s line of World Cup dog jerseys,” according to The Independent. “Paul Goodwin, co-founder of the Scottish
Football Supporters Association, told BBC Radio Scotland’s breakfast show on Wednesday that despite numerous breeds of dog originating north of the border, Adidas had not included
Scotland.”
The Adidas FIFA World Cup 2026 Pet Collection will be available from May 1 across North America, Latin America, Japan, China, Vietnam, the Philippines and Indonesia
in selected Adidas stores, selected retail stores and online.
