Independent brand strategy and design agency CBX has
tapped Mark Christou as Chief Creative Officer, based in New York. He joined two years ago as principal.
He will lead the agency’s creative team, working with strategy executives to
craft impactful work.
“Creativity isn’t decoration, and it isn’t finished just because it looks good. If the work doesn’t sell, move the needle, or earn
attention, it isn’t creative enough. In that way, our role isn’t to make clients comfortable; it’s to help them stand out and win,” Christou said.
The 20-year ad
veteran has worked in both New York and London. He also co-founded Rook/NYC, a creative agency known for branding and packaging design, and R/Co Ventures, an investment group supporting emerging CPG
brands. Prior to that, he held the creative director post at Sundial Brands and Pearlfisher New York, as well as design director at The Brand Union.
