Starbucks has teamed up with both a prominent fitness app and
a lifestyle brand to roll out its latest protein-filled ready-to-drink offering.
The brand has partnered with fitness app Strava on a new in-app challenge that requires participants to
“walk or run 22 minutes a day for 10 days or more.” The challenge was inspired by the 22 grams of protein in each bottle of RTD Starbucks Coffee & Protein, which is available now in
grocery and convenience stores nationwide as well as online.
Those who complete the challenge. beginning May 21 through June 18 on the Strava app, will be entered for a chance to win a
limited-edition Starbucks weighted vest. The vest was created in partnership with fashion and beauty editor Kahlana Barfield Brown and her lifestyle brand KBB by Kahlana, with a “design [that]
supports movement and style with a bespoke silhouette, five pounds of customizable weights for resistance and a dedicated pocket sized to perfectly hold RTD Starbucks Coffee & Protein.”

about how they start their day,” said Brian Smith, senior director, brand marketing, North American coffee partnership for Starbucks, in a release.
The vest is also available for $22
beginning May 21 at 12 p.m. PST at KBBweightedvest.com, while supplies last.
Available in both Classic Caffé and Caffé Mocha flavors, the new ready-to-drink Starbucks Coffee
& Protein beverage combines Starbucks coffee with 22 grams of complete protein, five grams of prebiotic fiber, five vitamins and minerals and two grams of sugar. The brand cites recent research
from the IFIC Food & Health Survey, as well as the recent Data Essential 2026 Trends Report, which found that demand for drinks that deliver added benefits, protein and fiber have “emerged
as top nutritional priorities for many Americans.”
