Paze Positioned As Safe Online Checkout

Digital wallets offered by banks and credit unions have become a popular way to safeguard finances.

A new campaign promotes Paze, an online checkout solution from Early Warning Services. The ad “Paze. It Checks Out” stars actresses Elizabeth Banks and Gabrielle Union. It runs on connected TV, digital video and social platforms.

Paze is offered by participating banks, such as Chase, Citi, PNC and Bank of America, and unions nationwide. Select merchants Domino’s, Dunkin’ and Wendy’s are also utilizing the service.

The creative focuses on the brand’s major benefit: checkout merged with security. Consumers' card numbers aren't shared during transactions. Rather than enter passwords or card numbers, Paze simplifies the experience. Users check out using cards from participating banks and credit unions they already know.

“When your campaign stars Elizabeth Banks and Gabrielle Union, you try not to overthink it,” said Serge Elkiner, Paze GM. “But the connection works because the product does too. Consumers want online checkout to feel simple, secure and streamlined.”

"The banks and union connection was honestly too perfect to pass up,” added Banks.

Early Warning built Zelle into a $1.2 trillion person-to-person network used by millions of American consumers and small businesses. The company is now applying those lessons to Paze.

Mark Messing, Domino’s vice president of global digital marketing, said the company wanted “to bring even more convenience to customers by offering a new, innovative way to check out online with Paze.”
