McCann announced that the agency’s Global Chairman, Daryl Lee, will be stepping
down at the end of June.
The move completes the planned leadership transition to Tyler Turnbull, who succeeded Lee as CEO of McCann when Omnicom completed its acquisition
of Interpublic late last year.
Lee had been the Global CEO of McCann and McCann Worldgroup since 2022 after previously having served as the Global CEO of UM and then IPG
Mediabrands for over a decade.

Under Lee, McCann won global brand and creative responsibilities for Ferrero brands Kinder and TicTac, Peroni Nastro Azzurro, PwC, LinkedIn and
IKEA, the first time in IKEA’s history where a global brand partner had been selected. During the same period, McCann also expanded its brand relationships with global clients such as
L’Oreal, Mastercard, Reckitt and Xbox.
While McCann CEO, Lee was an executive producer of the documentary “The Final Copy of Ilon Specht,” the true story of the McCann
copywriter behind the iconic brand platform for L’Oreal Paris, “Because I’m Worth It.” The documentary won numerous awards and grands prix, including the 2025 Cannes Lion Grand
Prix for Film.
Lee led McCann to the No. 1 position in the 2023 Global Effie Index and sustained the network's Top 3 global ranking throughout his
tenure.
Lee has announced no future plans except to say that he is looking forward to “gardening leave and seeing where the flowers
bloom.”
