NASCAR is adding $5 to a Swear Jar every time a naughty word can be heard through the racers' scanner radios throughout 10-race Chase (NASCAR’s version of playoffs).

And fans are loving it because someone will win it all during the championship race at Miami Homestead Raceway.  Fans are invited to guess the top swear and total count for each race for a chance to win all the money in the jar. 

“Once the season is over, one fan will walk away with the money accumulated in the jar,” according to Heavy. 

The fan who guesses the total number of swears -- and the most used swear word of the race -- earn points for accurate predictions and competes for an opportunity to become a finalist. One fan will advance each race to the final contest during the NASCAR Cup Series Championship weekend.

NASCAR certainly isn’t being subtle about it.

“Others fine, we pay. Every bleep builds the pot!” NASCAR wrote while announcing the promotion. “And **** it, one fan will win it all. Hell yeah!”

A custom site created by 72andSunny, Los Angeles, tracks the swear count and includes one of the coolest unknown features of NASCAR: the driver scanner radio, which is full of action and conversation during the race. The site will feature the live audio feed from all 40 drivers streamed right from the race on race day.

“NASCAR's new promotion is off to a great (bleeping) start,” according to Motorsport. “Drivers were caught swearing on the radio 223 times during the Southern 500 at Darlington, and we know for a fact Ryan Blaney was responsible for several of those moments. Fans were joking how the 2023 champion, known for his temper on the radio, would be one of the top swearers during this promotion and he did not disappoint.”

The jar hit $1,115 following the grueling opening round of the Chase.

“The Swear Jar has become one of the more entertaining sideshows of NASCAR’s 2026 Chase,” according to MotorBiscuit. “The Chase is only one race old, and Darlington has already pushed the total past four figures. Nine races remain, including Bristol, Talladega and a championship finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.”

It’s not just a numbers game. 

“Ahead of this weekend at World Wide Technology Raceway, NASCAR is letting you choose from one of 15 different swear words – including four of George Carlin's ‘seven dirty words,’” according to Roundtable. “You choose which one you think will be said the most – and how many times that swear word will be said – to have a chance at the swear jar.”
