ABI Research has bulked up its interactive media division, adding new senior analysts to tackle multichannel video and digital media storage, protection and management research.
The New
York-based, tech-focused market research firm has appointed Cesar Bachelet as the senior analyst for Multi-Channel Video. Bachelet will cover all aspects of the global multichannel video market, from
services delivered over cable, satellite and IPTV to the technologies and concepts behind the carriers' marketing strategies.
Bachelet most recently served as a consultant with Understanding &
Solutions (focusing on the digital distribution of video content over broadband, cable, and satellite networks), and brings some 18 years of telecommunications industry experience to his position at
ABI. "Cesar's background in the telecom industry, as well as his recent focus on consumer video, will provide valuable insight for our multichannel video vendors," said Stan Schatt, vice president
and research director for ABI Research.
For research and insight into the issues of digital media management, including content protection and digital rights management (DRM), ABI has named Zippy
Aima as industry analyst for Digital Media. Aima comes to ABI from Frost & Sullivan, where she served as an IT research analyst for three years, conducting in-depth analysis of digital media markets.
