The National Hockey League reported Thursday the availability of NHL GameCenter Live, an online subscription service enabling fans to engage with live NHL games through TV-quality streaming video.

The NHL is offering a free weekend-long trial of NHL GameCenter Live during the opening weekend of the NHL season in North America, Oct. 10-12.

The league's new Web site, which hosts NHL GameCenter Live, gives media buyers a location to place ads, and fans a personalized, all-access pass to their favorite NHL team and players. The video platform upgrades the league's former live streaming service, NHL Center Ice Online. The service features: an exclusive experience, multi-game view and on-demand viewing, interactivity, stats, action tracking, photos, and game highlights.--Laurie Sullivan
