Wiener, Hofstetter Depart Comscore: Move Follows New Board Members, Strategic Direction

Bryan Wiener and Sarah Hofstetter have resigned as CEO and President, respectively, of media and marketing research firm Comscore.

The move comes nearly a year after Wiener left as founder and CEO of 360i to join Comscore, and just months after 360i cofounder Hofstetter followed him to Comscore.

    Why can't the Research Business get a grip.

    This breaking news comes on the 55th Anniversary
    of the Media Rating Council's (MRC's) release of its
    first Minimum Standards for Ratings Research.

    The sad irony is that Minimum Standard problems abound.
    Clearly, the Comscore situation is a matter of Accounting and more gone awry.

    Neither Nielsen nor Comscore have done much to raise confidence 
    in media and marketing research at a time when it is needed most.
