Two companies -- digital OOH firm Stratacache and marketing-services firm SapientNitro -- are partnering to offer customers new capabilities in cross-channel campaigns and customer engagement.
The new service, combining Stratacache's digital capabilities with SapientNitro's customer-experience design, aims to help clients in the retail, banking, service, hospitality and quick-service restaurant industries. The focus is engaging with customers through digital signage, kiosks and other in-venue displays.
Stratacache provides a number of DO-related products and services, including signage, equipment and ActiVia, an online tool for managing DO networks. ActiVia handles audience measurement, traffic analysis, and special interactive features, like touchscreen displays and QR codes.
Stratacache also operates its own proprietary enVu mall network. SapientNitro offers a range of services for customer-experience design, covering strategy, creative and technical disciplines for cross-channel campaigns.

Chris Riegel, CEO of Stratacache, stated: "Shopping, product selection and customer service shouldn't start or stop at the front doors to the store or branch." He cites the complementary nature of the technologies as an asset to help clients reach their customers via signage, interactive, mobile and Web."
In January, Stratacache announced that its enVu mall network had been deployed in 100 malls across the country's top 20 DMAs over the previous three months. That number should grow to 225 malls by the end of this year, per the company.
EnVu's EnSpire network uses eye-catching graphics and gesture-based interaction to create immersive digital displays in high-traffic common areas. Passersby are invited to interact with a logo or brand and then are directed to the nearest retailer selling the product, or to a Web site or social media platform.
