Alloy Is A Little Less So, Spins AMP Off To Management Team

AMP Agency, the digital and experiential marketing shop that was a unit of Alloy Media + Marketing, this morning said it has officially spun off into an independent, Boston-based agency, following a buy-out by its senior management team.

Terms were not disclosed, but AMP will now be run by its original Founder-CEO Gary Colen, with the rest of its employees retaining their current roles.

Concurrent with the spin-off, AMP announced it is launching an office in San Francisco to service key accounts including Blue Shield of California and Princess Cruises.

Colen said the agency would focus on expanding its base in New England, as well as expanding its footprint nationally, beginning with San Francisco.

With an organization of more than 100 employees, AMP describes itself as a full-service digital shop with expertise in media, search, social, mobile and cross channel analytics. Its client roster includes Maybelline New York, U.S. Cellular, Genzyme, and Ansell Healthcare Products.
