Cabela's posted record results for the second quarter, with total revenue climbing 7.7% to $562.1 million. Net income rose to $22.3 million, compared to $19.4 million in the year ago quarter. As a
result, the Sidney, Neb.-based retailer, which specializes in hunting, fishing and camping gear, is ramping up its plans to open new stores. It now says it expects to open five new stores this year,
increasing retail square footage nearly 10%, the largest number of store openings in the last four years.
