Adding to its niche content, CBS Interactive
has entered into a distribution partnership with 247Sports.
Per the deal, 247Sports’ football and basketball recruiting content will be added to CBSSports.com’s college sports
coverage, as well as the national high-school sports coverage of CBS Interactive’s MaxPreps.com.
Jason Kint, senior vice president and general manager of CBSSports.com, said the deal
was inspired by the success of 247Sports.
"We've already seen success with our recent collaboration for the 2013 National Signing Day, which fueled growth across the site,” Kint
said.
Going forward, CBSSports.com also plans to incorporate 247Sports features, including team and player rankings, such as the 247Composite Team Recruiting Ranking, Crystal Ball
commitment prediction engine, Recruiter Rankings, Top 247, news and analysis.
247Sports content will be featured on a “Signing Day” page on CBSSports.com, which will serve as
the home for live and on-demand video, as well as the MaxWire National Blog on MaxPreps.
Per the partnership, CBSSports.com will now serve as the exclusive ad sales partner for
247Sports.
CBSSports.com and MaxPreps are both part of CBS Interactive's portfolio of multiplatform media brands, including Fantasy offerings and the CBSSports.com College Network, which
produces roughly 150 official collegiate athletic sites.
