Univision, Telemundo Tout Gains

With the broadcast network season close to ending, many mid- and smaller-sized networks -- on traditional over-the-air TV stations and/or local TV digital sub-channels -- will tout some gains.

Univision keeps climbing, now posting a Nielsen 3.3 million overall viewers and 1.64 million 18-49 prime-time viewers in live programming plus seven days of time-shifted viewers -- all good for fifth place among the broadcasters.

NBCUniversal's Telemundo, another Spanish-language network, sits next at 1.55 overall viewers and 880,000 18-49 viewers. The CW, the mini-English-language network, is next at 1.3 million in overall viewers and 620,000 18-49 viewers.

ION network comes in a bit behind CW -- 1.1 million viewers and 400,000 18-49 viewers. Univision-owned UniMas comes in behind ION -- 660,000 overall viewers, and 360,000 18-49 viewers.

Me-TV (Memorable Entertainment Television), which airs classic TV shows, lands next with 340,000 viewers and 70,000 18-49 viewers. Estrella TV is at 220,000 viewers and 60,000 18-49 viewers.

The African-American-targeted network Bounce TV, which launched in 2011, is at 150,000 viewers and 60,000 18-49 viewers. Azteca America, another Spanish-language network, is at 120,000 viewers and 60,000 viewers among the 18-49 demographic. MundoFox, which News Corp. started up last August, sits last at 70,000 overall viewers and 40,000 18-49 viewers.

CBS continues to lead all TV broadcast networks with 11.9 million total viewers and 3.4 million 18-49 viewers. Among the key 18-49 viewers, Fox is next at 3.2 million 18-49 viewers, followed by NBC at 2.99 million and ABC at 2.8 million. Among total viewers, CBS leads, followed by ABC at 7.8 million; Fox at 7.1 million, and NBC at 7.0 million.
