Selfridges Jumps On Sharks

When marketers support conservation causes, they usually round images of the cute-and-cuddly, like panda bears and timber wolves. But this month, U.K. retailer its throwing its cause clout behind sharks, with shark-themed windows, exhibitions, videos and 3D installations, telling shark stories, including promoting the idea of “shark parks,” a new concept marine conservation, with the first one slated for Cornwall in the UK. It’s also done an audit of its cosmetics departments, and says the product it carries are now 100% free of shark oils.
