Trusted Choice Puts Its Trust In MARC for Ad-Marketing Chores

Trusted Choice, the coalition of independent insurance agents has selected MARC USA for advertising and marketing chores after a review the client and agency confirmed Tuesday.

The selection came after a review that included MARC and other undisclosed agencies.

The client spent nearly $2 million on ads in 2012, according to Kantar.

“MARC USA demonstrated a strategic and creative point of difference for Trusted Choicethat will enable our members to bring a strong collective voice to their own markets,” said Robert Rusbuldt, president of the coalition.  “We believe that MARC’s thought provoking campaign will challenge consumers to rethink” their current insurance agent choices.

MARC’s first work for the client will be unveiled in a new ad campaign that will launch with print, direct and through digital channels beginning in January, 2014. The account will be handled out of MARC’s Chicago office.

MARC said it would also do TV ads for the client in the future, although TV spots currently are not planned as part of the campaign scheduled to break in January.

Trusted Choice has run some TV spots in the last couple of years on cable outlets such as TNT, Fox News and the History Channel. Rusbuldt has appeared as a spokesman in some spots.

In one ad that ran earlier this year on Fox News, the organization positioned its agents and their products as offering a better fit for individual consumers. In the spot, called “Life Changes,” Rusbuldt states, “The Trusted Choice agent in your community works with you to choose the insurance that fits your life no matter how it changes.”

Formed in 1896, the Trusted Choice organization represents 250,000 independent insurance agents nationwide.
