Dentsu's mcgarrybowen, Carat Win Fujitsu

Dentsu Aegis Network's mcgarrybowen and Carat Enterprise have teamed to win the global Fujitsu creative and media assignment after a review the client confirmed Tuesday.

The agencies have been tasked with building the brand's profile in markets outside Japan. Dentsu Tokyo, which has handled ad chores for the client in Japan also played a role in the pitch.

Fujitsu is billed as the fourth-largest IT services provider in the world (and number one in Japan). The new account will be handled out of London.

The win is the latest instance of multiple shops within the Denstu Aegis Network teaming to win an assignment. Earlier this year, mcgarrybowen and Carat were awarded the Staples business, which is being handled out of New York.

For Dentsu, it’s the second key win this week -- its digital shop 360i won the digital assignment for Estee Lauder’s Clinique.

For mcgarrybowen London, the win adds to a 14-month streak that also includes account awards from Tassimo, Toblerone, Branston and Honda.

Guy Daniels, vice president, brand & marketing communications at International Business, Fujitsu, stated: "mcgarrybowen, Carat Enterprise and Dentsu stood out from the competition as the team that really understood our business challenge. The trio…showed us a new level of innovative thinking when it comes to how to best reach and engage with our target audience."
