Bing Releases Top Ad Search List For 2013

Bing has released a list of the Top 10 Advertising Campaigns and the Top Bidded Brands on Bing Ads from 2013, including spots from Old Spice, Evian, Skype, Kmart, GoDaddy and others.

The Old Spice Baby and Watermelon campaigns were the most searched-for ad campaigns, followed by Evian's Baby and Me, Skype's Stay Together, Kmart's Show Your Joe, Geico's Hump Day, GoDaddy's The Kiss: Bar Rafaeli’s Perfect Match!, AT&T's Grandma and Wehereworlf, Pepsi MAX's test Drive, Chrysler Ram Truck's The Year of the Farmer, and GoPro's Fireman Saves Kitten.

Bing also analyzed the ads for the top brands within each vertical to determine the top keywords searched. It helped to determine the top bidded brands within each vertical for the year.

In the shopping category, consumers searched for eBay, Amazon, Walmart, Home Depot, and Lowe's. In Clothing & Shoes the most searched-on brands were Macy's, JCPenney, Kohl's Nordstrom, and Etsy. In toys it was Toys R Us, Babies R Us, Webkinz, Lego, and Barbie. In Kitchen & Housewares the list includes Sears, William Sonoma, Anna Linens, Rachel Ray and Kitchen Aid.

When it came to the electronics category, Verizon, AT&T, Apple, t-Mobile, and Sprint took the top five biddable brand spots for 2013. Consumer searches for information on airlines and cars might surprise some. Southwest Airlines, Expedia, United Airlines, Delta Airlines and American Airlines took the top five spots for the travel. Ford, Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, and Nissan took the top five spots for auto.

This year, Microsoft introduced Smart Search with Bing as the engine driving query results for Windows 8.1. In fact, Bing made platform improvements throughout the year to Improved Location Extensions, Call Extensions, Compatibility with Enhanced Campaigns, and Bing Ads Express. Those improvements allowed advertisers to reach potential as well as existing consumers.
