Journal Broadcast Group has named Eagle Television Sales, a division of Katz TV Group, as its new national sales rep for 10 of the company’s stations.
The seven markets included in the deal are: Las Vegas; Palm Springs, Calif.; Milwaukee, Boise, Idaho; Green Bay, Wis.; Lansing, Mich.; and Twin Falls, Idaho.
The Journal Broadcasting assignment became effective Dec. 2.
Katz already has a track record with Journal Broadcast, acting as its national radio sales rep. Andre Fernandez, president /CFO of Journal Communications, said “Katz’s alignment with our
other businesses was a natural fit for these 10 stations."
Eagle Television is the sales rep for 53 major television stations across the U.S.
The change became effective Dec. 2.
A day later, LIN Media hired the Katz Television Group as its national rep firm, reported B&C. The 35 stations, including ones in Hartford-New Haven, Conn., and Austin, Texas, had
previously been repped by Petry.
Journal Broadcast Group owns and operates 35 radio stations and 15 television stations in 12 states.
