Cibo Acquires Hydrant

San Francisco-based brand specialist agency Cibo has acquired experiential firm Hydrant, based in the same city. Terms were not disclosed.

Cibo said Hydrant would be fully integrated into the agency in the coming months. The acquisition brings the total number of employees at Cibo to 45. The agency is projecting $15 million in revenue this year across its array of brand advertising and digital marketing offerings.

Hydrant co-founder and Partner Alder Yarrow will assume the title of chief experience officer at Cibo, while co-founder Bob Skubic has been named Cibo’s chief design officer.

Separately, Cibo has hired Cary Savas as president and executive client partner, a new post at the firm. Previously, Savas was director client services and business development at Evolution Bureau, part of Omnicom.

Cibo was co-founded in 2010 by CEO Lu Laourte and CMO Jim Magill.
