Pepcid Partners With Ted Allen, Eater.com

Pepcid has enlisted the help of culinary expert Ted Allen and Eater.com to host the Pepcid Tastemasters Series.

Eater.com, an online publication which focuses on food and dining news in 18 cities nationwide and in Canada, is sending out sponsored posts from Pepcid to its subscribers touting the Tastemasters Series.

Allen, host of Food Network’s “Chopped” and former cast member of “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy,” is a heartburn sufferer and Pepcid user. He attended two exclusive dining events at Pok Pok NY in New York City and Petty Cash Taqueria in Los Angeles in April.

“I’m excited to partner with the Pepcid brand to help fellow food enthusiasts learn how they can continue exploring the country’s booming restaurant scene and experimenting with exotic ingredients even if they are a heartburn sufferer,” Allen said in a release.

Food lovers across the country can enter the #PEPCIDPerfectPlates Facebook photo contest for their opportunity to win $5,000 to host their own Tastemakers dinner.

Through May 18, food enthusiasts will be encouraged to go to the Pepcid Facebook page to upload a picture of their perfect plate -- the empty one from the end of a great meal -- along with a caption that creatively describes the experience. Allen, an expert in perfect plates, will pick his favorite photo as the winner.
