Investors Group, a Canadian provider of financial planning products and services, selected DDB Canada as its marketing communications partner. DDB Canada's Toronto office will lead the account. Y&R Saint-Jacque Vallee previously handled the account.
As its first assignment, the agency has been tasked with brand strengthening -
elevating Investor Group's expertise in helping Canadian families plan for the future by providing financial planning, products and services. DDB Canada was awarded the work following a competitive
pitch process involving 20 agencies from across Canada. New work is expected to launch in early 2015. "Investors Group has enjoyed excellent name recognition and is viewed as a heritage brand in the
marketplace, however not all Canadians are fully aware of the depth and breadth of their service offering," says Michael Davidson, senior vice president, business unit director, DDB Canada. "We see a
unique opportunity to not only contemporize the brand but also to establish a distinctive position for Investors Group."
