Snickers will air an ad in the 2015 Super Bowl, for the first time since 2011, parent Mars Chocolate North America announced.
The new 30-second spot will continue the brand's "You're Not You When You're Hungry" campaign from BBDO, which debuted in a spot (shown here) featuring Betty White and Abe Vigoda during 2010's Super Bowl. That spot was ranked the best-liked commercial in the game in USA Today's Ad Meter.
Mars, which is an NFL sponsor, has aired ads for its M&M's brand in the past three Super Bowls.
"We're thrilled to bring our 'You're Not You When You're Hungry' campaign back to the place where it became a breakout hit," said Snickers brand director Allison Miazga-Bedrick. "Super Bowl XLIX offers a massive platform to kick off what we expect will be an equally enormous year for Snickers."
Snickers, which featured Richard Lewis and Roseanne Barr in its 2011 Super Bowl ad, is not yet revealing specifics about the new creative to air in the upcoming game, although Miazga-Bedrick did tell Advertising Age that the brand will continue to use celebrities, and that White won't be making a return appearance.
