Google CFO Patrick Pichette To Retire

Patrick Pichette, Google's CFO since 2008, has put plans in motion to retire. The information was made public in a filing Tuesday with the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC). It states that no retirement date has been set.

Google indicated in the filing that Pichette intends to assist in the search for a new CFO, which the company expects within the next six months.

Last Friday, Pichette sold 1,220 shares of the company’s stock in a transaction. Dakota Financial Newsreports that the stock was sold at an average price of $578.44, for a total value of $705,696.80. The soon-to-be former Google chief financial officer now owns 3,051 shares of the company’s stock, valued at approximately $1,764,820.44. The sale was disclosed in a document filed with the SEC.
