Former Razorfish CEO Pete Stein Joins Fullscreen

Pete Stein, the former Global CEO at Publicis Groupe’s Razorfish has been appointed General Manager, Head of Brand Group at Fullscreen, the digital platform that supports content creators on YouTube and elsewhere around the world.

In the newly-created role, Stein will lead strategy and execution for clients across Fullscreen’s media management and sales, influencer marketing group, social video management, custom content development, production and distribution as well as experiential marketing. He'll also oversee the integration of social media content developer McBeard, which Fullscreen acquired last year.

Essentially, said a Fullscreen rep, “anyone pitching to or servicing brands reports to Pete.”

Word of the appointment comes just a week after Fullscreen and GroupM unveiled an influencer marketing partnership called Playa through which a team of Fullscreen specialists based at the company’s New York sales headquarters will help WPP/GroupM clients develop and execute ideas and evaluate results.

Fullscreen has grown significantly since its founding five years ago and “Pete’s experience and industry relationships are the perfect fit to continue the rapid growth of this business,” said Fullscreen Chief Operating Officer Andy Forssell.

Stein left Razorfish after a corporate reshuffling about a year ago and was named Executive in Residence at Lerer Hippeau Ventures, a New York-based venture capital firm.

Stein was with Razorfish for nearly two decades, rising to global CEO in 2013. Earlier he was president of the Group’s East Region.

In separate news, Stein was appointed a member of the board of directors of global commerce service provider PFSweb on January 1. His Fullscreen appointment is effective immediately.
