Preston Kelly Lands Weather Shield Account

Window and door manufacturer Weather Shield has named Minneapolis-based Preston Kelly as its agency of record, following a formal review. There was no incumbent agency.

Preston Kelly will develop an integrated brand campaign promoting the brand’s years of experience in the business, says the agency. The agency will continue to position the brand within the luxury custom-home market.

Although the media plan is not complete, Weather Shield will use a combination of traditional and digital media.

The appointment comes during a time of change within the privately-held Wisconsin-based Weather Shield as second-generation family members assume leadership roles at the firm and as it seeks to increase its advertising presence.

Last spring, the company appointed Mark Schield as president and Kevin Schield as executive vice president of the company, succeeding their father, Edward “Lee” Schield, who founded the company 60 years ago.

Last November Chris Schield was promoted from director of product marketing to the newly-created vice president of marketing to oversee all of the company’s marketing functions, including product initiatives, dealer communications, advertising, trade show exhibitions, marketing communications and digital communications.
