Tapjoy, a mobile monetization platform, announced a partnership with app discovery platform ironSource. The partnership will marry Tapjoy’s user segmentation and analytics to
ironSource’s video mediation, which will help app developers drive revenue while ensuring a quality user experience.
ironSource’s developers
will also be able to access Tapjoy’s brand advertisers through video ad mediation. Those developers that utilize either Tapjoy or ironSource will be able to access the other’s tools
through new software development kits (SDKs).
“The combination of our mar-tech tools and ironSource’s video monetization platform enables developers to personalize the revenue path
for each of their customers and to subsequently maximize the value of the resulting video ad inventory,” stated Steve Wadsworth, Tapjoy’s CEO.
The Tapjoy SDK enables developers to
analyze consumer behavior in real-time, with segments based on historical and predicted in-app spending. The goal is to drive engagement and merchandising campaigns for paying customers and surface
the optimal advertising mix for non-paying customers.
The Supersonic by ironSource SDK allows developers to access Tapjoy’s video ad demand as a network option in the mediation
waterfall. ironSource’s SDK is compatible with a number of ad network providers, which means that developers only need the one SDK to reach multiple demand sources.
Gil Shoham, CRO of
ironSource, said the partnership will preserve "an enjoyable app experience while maximizing revenue potential."
