Havas Reorganizes Sports & Entertainment Unit, Its CEO Departs

Havas Group has reorganized its Havas Sports & Entertainment division, fully integrating it within the group’s “villages” across the wider Havas Group network.

No longer a stand-alone operation, HSE specialists are being embedded “at the core of all Havas Group’s client teams,” the holding company stated.

A little over a year ago, Pedro Avery -- who was group managing director, Havas Media Group UK and CEO Arena Media UK -- took on additional responsibilities as CEO of HS&E. Avery is leaving the company to pursue new opportunities, Havas said.

Commenting on the new approach, Havas Global CEO Yannick Bollore stated: “Havas Sports & Entertainment is made up of the best experts who truly understand what makes a fan a fan and what drives their engagement. Integrating this talent at the heart of all our Havas Villages means all our agencies will be able to deliver solutions and vision for our clients that build emotional relationships between brands, fans and communities based on today’s popular culture.”
