TEN Launches Motor Trend OnDemand In UK, Europe

TEN: The Enthusiast Network is expanding its automotive SVOD/OTT service Motor Trend OnDemand to the UK and Europe, the service’s first international expansion.

“The international success of some of our franchise programs, such as Roadkill, HOT ROD Garage, Head 2 Head, and Ignition, is due in large part to our enormous YouTube and social following in the UK and Europe,” stated Scott Dickey, CEO of TEN: The Enthusiast Network.

Motor Trend OnDemand launched exclusively in the U.S. last May.

“Still, we saw a surprising number of members from around the world subscribing to watch our original programming,” Dickey added.

At the time of its launch, TEN’s CMO Jonathan Anastas told Publishers Daily one of the goals of the Motor Trend OnDemand app is to convert some of the brand’s 4 million YouTube subscribers to SVOD subscribers. It is likely the company is hoping for the same conversion from its European viewers.

Last August, Motor Trend OnDemand service was made available as an add-on subscription to Amazon Prime members.

The SVOD service features 126 different motorsports series and 17 original programming series, as well as live and on-demand events, including racing footage, episodic series, event coverage, historical archives, films, documentaries and television series.

The content is available on Apple TV, Xbox One, Roku, Fire TV, and on all iOS and Android mobile phones, tablets and the web.

The Motor Trend OnDemand app resembles a Netflix for motorheads, featuring sections like “New,” “Watch Live,” “Motorsport,” “Originals,” “Events” and “Vault,” with videos that scroll horizontally.
