GoodHumans, which specializes in the mobile email experience, has released an updated version of Preside, an intelligent email reader for the iPhone, adding coloring rules to its functions.   

Users of the app can assign colors to emails based on the sender, status, category and other variables.

The app comes with four coloring rules, including those for unread emails, flagged emails and emails that have been assigned Exchange categories.

The update also allows users to configure notification sound rules, depending on the type of incoming email.

Preside provides predictive filing, integration with tasks apps, and personalization, among other things. The new version, Preside 2.2.5, is available for free through the App Store in the Business category
