Home Depot Creates First Built-In Pins Pinterest Board

The Home Depot and agency 22squared are introducing the home improvement retailer's first platform-centric campaign made specifically for Pinterest.

22squared partnered with OmniVirt to launch the 360° interactive component.

These Promoted Video Pins in rooms, built to Pinterest proportions, lets users explore various rooms to seek design inspiration as well as click through to purchase items. Currently the initiative features living room, bathroom, kitchen and bedroom Pins, with additional rooms to be added in the coming months.

"We don’t use Pinterest as a platform just to inspire, we are there for you through the whole process of the planning of the ‘before’ to the ‘look what I did’ after and in this campaign, we’ve done just that," says Lisa DeStefano, vice president, marketing, The Home Depot.

The concept will also soon be coming in-store, at select locations, giving customers the opportunity to "step inside the pin in real life." CES attendees can also visit Pinterest's booth as part of the social media platform's showcase of innovative campaign executions.
