Dropbox And Salesforce Connect Their Platforms

Dropbox and Salesforce have formed a strategic partnership to connect the Salesforce CRM platform with the Dropbox collaboration platform. The objective is to drive brand engagement across channels, keep content up to date and ensure better workflow.

The partnership will enable companies to connect with customers through multiple functions, including marketing, sales and commerce. The arrangement builds on an existing relationship between the two firms. They offer the Dropbox Salesforce app, available on the Salesforce App Exchange.

Salesforce has invested in Dropbox since 2014 through its Salesforce Ventures arm.

Salesforce will now use Dropbox Enterprise and Dropbox will extend its use of such Salesforce products as Salesforce Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud and PRM.

Through the new combination, users can access content through Salesforce Quip. They also can create branded Dropbox folders within the Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Marketing Cloud, with the goal of keeping content up to date. This includes product images and creative briefs from outside agencies.

With the two-way workflows offered by the firms, content will remain relevant on both the Dropbox and Salesforce sides, they claim.

Earlier this month, Dropbox announced a partnership with Google to drive Gmail integration.
